Dear Best Friend... Love, Meg

Dear Taylor,

It’s crazy to think that someone I met during Zoom recruitment is now my big and best friend. Freshman year can be as overwhelming as it is exciting. From answering any questions I had, to walking to classes with me, you quickly became someone I depend on. Thank you for always being there, whether I have a funny story or I need a shoulder to cry on.

When I decided to rush, I wanted to find sisters that would help me become the best I can be. I met you, and knew that Alpha Xi was where I would find those people. Your advice and support over the past year have helped me become more confident. You are dedicated to everything you do and always maintain a positive outlook on life. You are simply a good friend. Whether I need help with homework or I’m just bored, you are always there for me.

Neither of us necessarily thought we would end up BME, but I am so glad we are doing it together. Taking the classes together, although they can be tedious and difficult, makes me happy because they are an excuse to spend countless more hours together. Being able to study for our chem final together last spring made getting through our last day of finals so much easier!

I am so thankful for all the memories we have made over the past year. I am so thankful that Alpha Xi Delta brought me you, and I can’t wait to make so many more memories! You’re one of the best friends I could ever ask for. I love you!

Love,

Meg Weaver
