Collaborative Educational Programming Award

The Collaborative Educational Programming Award is given to chapters who meaningfully collaborate with other entities to host educational programming that connects back to the mission, values, or history of Alpha Xi Delta. We are so honored to be the recipient of this year’s award!

At Alpha Xi Delta, we strongly believe in the importance of challenging each other to realize our potential and .constantly grow. This belief drives us to host a variety of programs for our members throughout the year. The Gamma Eta chapter was selected for this award due to our work with Georgia Tech’s Office of Student Diversity. Our chapter strives to create an environment where all sisters feel valued, accepted, and loved. That’s why our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team partnered with the Office of Student Diversity to create a workshop for all of our sisters. Through this program, we discussed the impact of diversity on chapter members, and sisters shared their own individual experiences. This program taught our chapter how to be more respectful and understanding of each other, and of other members of the Georgia Tech community.

Courage in the Face of COVID Award

Over the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has made it harder than ever to connect with sisters. That’s why Alpha Xi Delta has created the Courage in the Face of COVID award to recognize chapters for their ability to adapt to the challenges of the pandemic and continue to engage their members. This year, Georgia Tech’s Gamma Eta chapter was one of only 3 chapters nationwide to receive this award.

Although the majority of classes were online and Georgia Tech’s campus faced many restrictions over the past year, our chapter’s sisterhood has been stronger than ever! Through virtual sisterhood events like trivia nights and powerpoint presentation parties, we’ve been able to laugh and bond like always. Our executive board worked hard to create opportunities for safe, in-person events for our sisters such as bid day, workout classes, Xiti with the Xi’s, and even our spring formal dance. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Alpha Xi Delta become even closer over the past year!

Xi Achievement Award

We are so honored and grateful to be a recipient of this year’s Xi Achievement Award, recognizing us as one of the top two Alpha Xi Delta chapters in the country! The Xi Achievement Award is given to chapters for superior achievement in living the mission and vision of Alpha Xi Delta. This is the third consecutive year Gamma Eta has received this enormous honor!

We are so proud of our chapter leaders and every one of our sisters for their contributions to make our chapter the best it can be. Despite the challenges that the past year has brought, Alpha Xi Delta has grown even stronger. Through academic and professional support, philanthropic opportunities, and a sisterhood like no other, our chapter continues to be a supportive community where woman truly can realize their potential.
