The Gracious and Kindly Hearts Housing Award

The Alpha Xi Delta National Housing Corporation established this award to recognize the housed and unhoused chapters that exemplify chapter graciousness, practice hospitality to each other and visitors to the chapter facility and on campus, and whose members have best acquired the art of living and working together.

The Gamma Eta Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta prides itself on its hospitality to all members of the chapter and the community. As such, our house serves as the epicenter of life and activity for our Sisters and others we engage, providing not only for living opportunities but also as a source of pride. From meals and studying to sisterhood activities and movie nights, the chapter’s home means so much to our members, and we are excited to have such an amazing facility for our Sisters and friends.

Collaborative Educational Programming Award

The Collaborative Educational Programming Award celebrates chapters who meaningfully collaborate with other entities to host educational programming that connects back to the mission, values, or history of Alpha Xi Delta. We are so honored to be the recipient of this year’s award!

This past year, our chapter voted to pursue programming emphasized personal growth and self-actualization. To cultivate confidence, intelligence, graciousness, and social awareness within us, we decided to focus on financial literacy and empowerment. We partnered with Dr. Jacqueline Garner, a senior lecturer at Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business, who provided engaging insights and real-world examples of how each of our Sisters can ensure their financial wellbeing as they prepare for life after college.

AmaXIng Challenge of the Year Award

This award was established to recognize a collegiate chapter’s outstanding AmaXIng Challenge philanthropy event that had a meaningful impact on the community and resulted in a significant contribution to a Kindly Hearts Initiative Organization.

This past year, our chapter’s marquee philanthropy event, our Step it Up 5K, raised more than $17,000 for Atlanta Angels, which supports families and children in the foster care community. The race, which planned and executed by our Sisters, has been certified a Peachtree Road Race qualifier and hosted hundreds of runners from the Georgia Tech and Atlanta community.

Xi Achievement Award

We are so honored and grateful to be a recipient of this year’s Xi Achievement Award, recognizing us as one of the top two Alpha Xi Delta chapters in the country! The Xi Achievement Award is given to chapters for superior achievement in living the mission and vision of Alpha Xi Delta. This is the fifthconsecutive year Gamma Eta has received this enormous honor!

Established in 1954 by five pioneering women who were the first females to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology, the Gamma Eta Chapter has faithfully continued our legacy of fostering a nurturing environment for women to excel both academically and personally. Through academic and professional support, philanthropic opportunities, and a sisterhood like no other, our chapter is steadfastly dedicated to providing a supportive community where woman truly can realize their potential. Through our collective efforts and unwavering commitment, we continue to shape the future of Georgia Tech and beyond.

We could not be prouder of our chapter leaders and our entire sisterhood for achieving this recognition as a top chapter.
